Elvis Presley Memorial Cup
Back when Drinkscorp was not quite as non-profit as it apparently is now, the Drinkscorp chieftans would spend the embarrassing surplus on an annual sports/games contest (physical or otherwise) for various members of the University commmunity.
This ran during the late nineties to some success, and was contested by graduate students, undergraduate students, staff (occasionally), ITS, and the alumni. There is even a trophy (last won by the alumni) that has now been lost to the mists of time / someone's cupboard.
In 2007 I want to restart the tradition of the Elvis Presley Memorial Cup to help build a community spirit in Computer Science. This may be something that Interface wants to get involved in, in whatever capacity the club is comfortable with.
At the moment I'll be charging an entry fee to cover any costs, and I have no idea what sports to have (computer gaming? indoor netball? frisbee?). In the past the sports were (at various times) indoor netball, frisbee, indoor soccer, volleyball, ten-pin and laser-tag.
